When is Aang coming to Fortnite?

Players eagerly await the arrival of The Aang Skin in Fortnite as part of the Avatar: The Last Airbender collaboration event in the popular battle royale.

Prior to the release of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, Epic Games announced a collaboration with Avatar: The Last Airbender, bringing many interesting characters from the franchise, such as Aang, to the popular battle royale. Epic Games announced that the collaboration would be launched mid-way through the season. After nearly a month of waiting, players will finally get to see the collaboration come to life.

Korra, from 'The Legend of Korra', and the Waterbending Mythic were already added to Fortnite last week, with more Avatar characters to follow. Katara, Toph Beifong and Zuko are also available for purchase in the in-game store, along with LEGO Fortnite versions of their skins. However, an Aang skin is notably absent. Players are wondering when they will get to see and play as the Last Airbender in Fortnite.

Aang is coming to Fortnite in the Avatars crossover event

The Avatar: Elements event begins in Fortnite on April 12th, 2024, at 9 am ET. This event will likely bring it with a mini-battle pass, as several Fortnite crossovers have been doing recently.

Similar to the seasonal battle passes, these event-themed battle passes generally have a free version and a premium version. Likely, the reward for fully completing the premium version of the mini-battle pass will be the Aang skin in Fortnite.

There are also rumours that the Aang skin will also feature a coloured variant, similar to the Fortnite Greek God skins introduced in the latest season. Players can also expect to see a LEGO Fortnite version of the skin as well.

Additionally, there are also rumours that a Sokka skin will be available on the free path of the battle pass. The mini-battle pass will last the same duration as the Avatar: Elements event, which will likely be between 2-3 weeks. Note that there is a high likelihood you will not be able to unlock the Aang skin until a bit later in the event. The event will be accompanied by several Avatar-themed quests.

These quests generally revolve around interactions between characters & elements introduced as part of the crossover. You must complete these quests to accumulate points towards completing the mini pass.

As there is a new Avatar-themed game mode accompanying this crossover, there is a high chance that most quests will have to be completed by playing the new game mode. After you reach the end of the premium battle pass, you will finally be able to use the Aang skin in your battle royale matches in Fortnite.
