How to Get the Appa Glider in Fortnite?

The Appa Glider in Fortnite is an Epic Glider introduced in the Avatar: Elements event alongside a premium battle pass, new mythic abilities, and Avatar: The Last Airbender skins. The Appa Glider is modelled after Aang's companion, Appa, the six-legged flying bison that helps the trio traverse the landscape in the TV Show. 

Players only have till May 12th to unlock this limited-time cosmetic, so ensure that you get this epic glider as quickly as you can. 

Open Chakras to Unlock the Appa Glider in Fortnite

Although introduced alongside the event's premium battle pass, the Elements battle pass, the Appa Glider in Fortnite cannot be unlocked by simply levelling up the battle pass. It also cannot be bought from the shop in exchange for V-bucks. Rather, you will have to learn how Chi and Chakras in Fortnite work. Alongside the battle pass, Epic Games has also introduced six chakras to the game. Each of these Chakras represents an element - Water, Earth, Fire, Air, Sound and Light. 

Only the Water Chakra is currently available in the game. The other Chakras will be unlocked at 9 AM ET on the following dates - 

• Earth Chakra - April 15
• Fire Chakra - April 18 
• Air Chakra - April 22
• Sound Chakra & Light Chakra - April 25

Each Chakra has six quests associated with it. If you open Fortnite, you will notice six Water quests in the game. Completing these quests will reward you with 350 Chi. 

Chi is not only used to level up the Elements battle pass but also contributes towards opening Chakras. The quests belonging to a particular element can only be used to unlock the Chakra of that particular element. Completing four out of six quests for an element will open that particular Chakra. If you are not concerned with levelling up the battle pass and only want the Appa Glider in Fortnite, you need not complete more than four quests per element. 

Now, repeat this process for the Earth Chakra when it comes out, and so on for all the other elements. This will allow you to open those Chakras as well. Once you have opened all six Chakras part of the Avatar: Elements battle pass, you will instantly unlock the Appa Glider in Fortnite. 

Now, similar to any other glider that you unlock, you can go to your inventory and equip the Appa Glider in Fortnite. The next you hop into a game and use your glider, you will see the beloved six-legged bison flying with you.
