Fortnite x Coachella event 2024: Island Code, skins, and more

Coachella, the annual music and arts festival, recently announced a continuation of their partnership with Epic Games for a Fortnite x Coachella collaboration. Coachella has held virtual concerts inside Fortnite for the past two years. This year's Fortnite x Coachella collaboration promises to be grander than anything seen in the past. 

The 2024 collaboration is accompanied by new items, skins and an entirely new island for players to explore. The Fortnite x Coachella event will start on April 11th, 12 AM GMT. Players can enjoy the collaboration till the end of the event on April 18th, 1:59 pm GMT.

The Sahara Island & Return of the Coachella Island

Epic Games is introducing a brand new island to the game, titled 'The Sahara Island.' The island is created by Alliance Studios in UEFN and models the infamous Coachella Sahara Tent.On the island, you can enjoy musical mini-games, find hidden remix rooms and much more. A supposed "Grimes takeover" will also be happening on the island. 

 

Players can access the Sahara Island by using the following Island code under the Discover tab - 5285-0991-5833.  The Coachella Island that players got to see in previous collaborations has also made its return and can be accessed using the following Island Code - 5449-4207-1280.

Fortnite x Coachella Skins

As is the case with any collaboration, Fortnite x Coachella is bringing new aesthetically beautiful skins to the game. The event will bring two brand-new skins, called Horizon and Cosma. These skins are based on Coachella's astronaut mascot and represent male and female versions of the same skin. 

 

These skins will likely be a part of the bundle in the in-game shop. Purchasing the bundle will also give you the following - 

• Interstellar Butterfly Back Bling 
• Coachella Pulse Pickaxe
• Soft Synth Wrap

J Balvin Bundle

In addition to the mascot skins, the Fortnite x Coachella collaboration will also introduce a J Balvin skin to the game prior to the second leg of the festival.

 

The J Balvin skin will be available from April 18th to April 22nd. The bundle will also include the following cosmetic items - 

• Zappy-Go-Backy Back Bling
• Mi Gente Jam Track

Change to Fortnite Festival with a new stage, new instruments and Jam Tracks

The Fortnite Festival mode will be completely revamped with a brand new stage. The new Fortnite Festival Stage will feature the iconic Le Grande Ferris Wheel, the majestic Spectra Tower, balloon chains and many more thematic decorations.

Lastly, you will also get two Coachella-themed instruments, the Mirage Glimmer Guitar and Festival Keys Keytar.
