As a result of this evolution, the fundamental search will not be withheld but will remain open to the public at no cost thus enabling the continuity of access. However, even the premium subscribers will continue to bump against the ads that remain next to the search results, allowing Google to stay on as a profitable ad-driven revenue provider.

In response to inquiries from Reuters, Google clarified its stance on the matter, stating, "We’re not working on or considering an ad-free search experience. As we’ve done many times before, we’ll continue to build new premium capabilities and services to enhance our subscription offerings across Google."
