  1. Open Messages: Launch the "Messages" app from your Home Screen; it's the one with the speech bubble icon.

  2. Start or Open a Conversation: Begin a new conversation or select an existing one with the person you want to share your location with.

  3. Share Location: In the chat, tap on the person's name at the top of the screen. 

  4. Share My Location: In the contact info screen, tap "Share My Location."

  5. Duration Selection: You can choose how long you want to share your location for: "Share for One Hour," "Share Until End of Day," or "Share Indefinitely." Pick the option that suits your needs.

  6. Confirm Location Sharing: You'll be asked to confirm sharing your location. Tap "Send" or "OK" to complete the process.

Your contact will receive a message with your current location, and they can track you in real-time as long as you've allowed it.

Method 2: Share Location in Real-Time

If you're looking to share your location continuously, especially for an extended period or during a trip, you can use a feature called "Share My Location" within the Find My app.

  1. Open Find My: Launch the "Find My" app from your home screen.

  2. Select People: At the bottom, tap on "People."

  3. Start Sharing: Tap "Start Sharing Location."

  4. Choose Contacts: Select the contacts you want to share your location with. You can add multiple connections.

  5. Share: Confirm your selection by tapping "Send" or "Add" (depending on your iOS version).

  6. Set End Time: If you wish, you can set an end time for location sharing. Otherwise, it will be shared indefinitely.

  7. Done: Once you're satisfied with your choices, tap "Done" to start sharing your location in real time.

Method 3: Share Location Using Apple Maps

With Apple Maps, you can share your location in real-time with friends or family when you're trying to meet up.

  1. Open Apple Maps: Find and open the "Apple Maps" app on your iPhone. It's the one with the map icon.

  2. Find Your Location: Make sure the map displays your current location accurately. You can tap the location arrow in the lower left corner if needed.

  3. Share Your Location: To share your location, tap the blue dot that represents your current location on the map. A menu will appear above it.

  4. Share My Location: In the menu, tap the "Share" button.

  5. Choose a Contact: You can either select a contact from your list or enter a contact's name or phone number. Tap on the contact you want to share your location with.

  6. Choose the Right Option: Choose from available sharing options and share your current location with them.  

How to Stop Sharing Your Location

To stop sharing your location, follow these steps:

  1. Open Find My: Launch the "Find My" app.

  2. Select People: At the bottom, tap on "People."

  3. Stop Sharing: Find the contact you're sharing your location with and tap on their name. Tap "Stop Sharing My Location."

  4. Confirm: Confirm the action by tapping "Stop Sharing."
