How to play Content Warning?

. Content Warning, a co-op parody horror game, was released by Landfall Publishing on April 1st, 2024, as part of their tradition of releasing a game on April Fools' Day. Many are seeing hilarious and entertaining clips of the game on social media and wish to try it out themselves. Thus, this article will guide you on how you can go about playing Content Warning for yourself. 

Note that the game has only been released for Microsoft Windows. Hence, console and mobile players will, unfortunately not be able to enjoy the game as it is developed by a small independent studio. 

Download Content Warning on your PC through Steam

Content Warning can only be downloaded from the Steam store at the moment. If you wish to play the game, first ensure that you have downloaded the Steam app on your PC. 

To play Content Warning, do the following - 

• Visit the Steam store either on the Steam app or the Steam website.
• Go to the search bar and look for "Content Warning." 
• Visit the game's profile page and scroll down to where it says "Buy Content Warning."
• Add the game to your cart, and check out. 
• After purchasing the game, you can download the game either from your library or by re-visiting the game's profile page. 
• After the game has been installed on your PC, you can launch the game from your Steam library or through a shortcut. 

While you can purchase the game from both the Steam app and the Steam website on a browser, you will have to download the app to install the game on your PC. 

Now, you can play the game with up to three more of your friends if they have also purchased the game. You can invite them to your lobby by doing the following - 

• After launching the game, select "Play with friends" on the main menu.
• Select a save slot for the game. 
• Click on the "Host" button. 
• You will then be taken to the lobby (second floor of the house)
• Invite your friends either through the Steam overlay or in-game friends list. 
• After all your friends have joined, head down to the ground floor of the house and open the door. This will launch 

You can later continue the game with the same squad by selecting the same save slot later on.
