However, there are some indirect ways you can use to gift Robux to another user in Roblox, and that is exactly what we are going to discuss in this article.

Here's how to gift Robux in Roblox

Now, gifting Robux to friends is not a direct option in Roblox. However, you buy and send Roblox gift cards, digital or physical, to indirectly gift Robux to your loved ones. Apart from that, there are a few ways you can use to (indirectly) gift Robux to your friends on the platform. Check out the following sections to learn more about them!

1. Gift Robux using Roblox gift cards

One of the easiest ways to gift Robux to a friend is to buy and send them Roblox gift cards of specific amounts with which they can buy Robux themselves. You can follow the steps right below to use Roblox gift cards to gift Robux to your friends:

1. On the Roblox Home page, click the More (three-dot) button on the left navigation bar, and then click on the Gift Cards option.

2. This will lead you to a web page within your browser to purchase and send the Roblox gift cards to your friend.

3. Now, you can provide the required details such as the name of the recipient, the type of gift card, and even the design of it during the creation process.

4. You can choose from the pre-set amounts or specify an amount of your own.

5. You can also add a personalized message to the Roblox gift card.

One of the popular methods of gifting Robux to a friend in Roblox is by using donation items on the platform. However, for this method, you as well as your friend need to be a member of the Roblox Builder's Club to donate or list a virtual item on the platform. With that said, you can follow the steps right below to use a donation item to gift Robux:

1. Ask your friend, to whom you want to gift Robux, to create and list an item for sale in the catalog.

Note: Make sure to ask them to set the price of the item to the same Robux amount that you want to gift.

2. When their donation item is up for sale in the Roblox Marketplace, you can open your Roblox launcher.

3. Click your Avatar on the left navigation bar to open the Roblox Marketplace.

4. Here, you can use the Search bar to look for the item that your friend created.

5. Once you find it, purchase it using your existing Robux.

This way, you will get the donation item that your friend created for the set price, and the Robux will be sent to your friend's Roblox account. Although it is not a way of gifting something, this is one of the most popular ways to gift Robux in Roblox.

3. Gift Robux using a Game Pass

Much like how you can gift Robux to your friend in exchange for a donation item, you can do the same using a Game Pass in Roblox. More importantly, this method does not require you or your friend to be a member of the Roblox Builder's Club, although your friend needs to be able to create a basic Roblox experience in their Roblox account and create a Game Pass with it.

Having said that, follow the steps right below to gift Robux using a Game Pass in Roblox:

1. Ask your friend to create a Game Pass in their Roblox account. If they cannot, take their Roblox account credentials and log into it.

2. Go to the Create tab from the above menu bar.

3. Now, click the Creations tab on the left navigation bar.

4. Here, you can click any previously created experience to open its Overview page or create a new one in Roblox Studio.

5. In case you need to create an experience, you can use a basic template from the Roblox Studio app. Once it is created, go to the Creations tab on the Roblox Creator Hub page and click it to open the Overview page.

6. On the left nav bar, locate the Passes tab under the Monetization sub-menu and click it to open.

7. Now, click the Create A Pass button on the following page.

8. Provide a Name and a Description of the Game Pass.

9. Next, click the Sale tab on the left nav bar, enable the toggle for Item for Sale, and set a price as per the amount of Robux that you want to gift to your friend. Click the Save Changes button once you are done.

10. After creating and listing a Game Pass using your friend's Roblox account, log out of it and log into your own Roblox account. Now, you can search for your friend's Game Pass with your Roblox account and buy it from them for the Robux amount that you have set, which is also the amount that you want to gift.

11. Once the purchase is completed, the set Robux amount (minus a 30% marketplace tax taken by Roblox) will be transferred to your friend's Roblox account. So, if you have set the price of the Game Pass to 100 Robux, your friend will get 70 Robux after you purchase it with your account.

4. Gift Robux using group funds

One more way to gift Robux to friends in Roblox is by using group funds. You see, in Roblox, if you have a group, you can create items and game passes specifically for the group rather than your personal Roblox account. If anyone buys these items or passes in Roblox, the funds will be added to the group fund instead of your personal Robux fund.

So, this feature can be used as an effective workaround to gift Robux to a friend or a group of friends. Follow the steps right below to learn how:

1. Create a group in Roblox using your account. If you already have a group or are a part of one in Roblox, that works too.

Note: You will be required to pay 100 Robux to create your group in Roblox.

2. Ask your friend to join the group. If you have selected "Anyone can Join" for your Roblox group, your friend can easily join it. However, if you have set "Manual Approval" for your Roblox group, you will need to approve the membership.

3. Once they join the group, go to the Creator Hub in Roblox using a supported web browser, and go to the Group Creations tab.

4. Select the group you created and create an item or a game pass for the group.

5. Buy the group donation item or the group game pass using your Robux fund to transfer the Robux amount to the group fund. This can be the Robux amount that you want to gift to your friend.

Note: The 30% Roblox Marketplace tax will be levied on the group item or game pass that you buy. Hence, the total Robux amount transferred to the group funds will be 30% less than the actual amount.

6. Once the Robux amount is added to the group fund, you can send it to your friend who joined the group as a One-Time Payout from the Configure Group settings.

Now, it is worth noting that this is one of the least popular methods to gift Robux to friends due to the lengthy process. However, one of the primary reasons for it being the least popular method is that the Robux transaction within the group can take up to 3 days. So, once you send the Robux amount to your friend in the Roblox group, it can take 3 days to reflect on your friend's Robux funds.
