The error is not restricted to a single platform and has been encountered by players on both PC and Xbox. There is a high chance that you may encounter this error on the PS5 as well.

The LightbeigeBeard error occurs when the Sea of Thieves game version installed on your device does not sync with the latest version on Rare's servers. The solution to this is fairly straightforward. PC

If you are playing on a PC, you can solve the Game Version Mismatch error in Sea of Thieves through the Microsoft Store. Simply follow these instructions -

Close the game and launch the Microsoft Store.
Click on the downward arrow on the top-right of the screen.
Open "Downloads and Updates."
You will see the new "Sea of Thieves" update in the list.
Select the item in the list and begin updating.

If you do not see Sea of Thieves on the list, you can manually search for the game on the Microsoft Store. After visiting the game page, manually update it from there.

Xbox
