10. Fortnite x My Hero Academia

Released as part of the v26.10 update, 2023 My Hero Academia collaboration in Fortnite added three characters from the uber-popular anime series - Shoto Todoroki, Eijiro Kirishima, and Mina Ashido, to the Fortnite Item Shop. Additionally, during the collaboration event, players could equip their favourite U.A. High School students with special weapons that reflect their Quirks from the series.

Apart from that, Epic also added a new Ice Wall item that mimics Todoroki's Quirk of creating the "Heaven Piercing Ice Wall." Not only that, the developers also added the Deku's Smash ability that players could use during the collaboration event.

9. Fortnite x Star Wars Anakin Skywalker

After introducing the Darth Vader skin in Fortnite last year, Epic added an exclusive Anakin Skywalker skin to the battle royale title this year as part of the Star Wars collaboration. Although Fortnite is home to various Star Wars characters, including Kylo Ren, Luke Skywalker, and Din Djarin, the Anakin Skywalker skin was the most requested one.

So, Epic Games listened to the Star Wars fans and released an Anakin Skywalker outfit in the game in 2023. The outfit in question showcased the popular Star Wars anti-hero as the Revenge of the Sith version. The Anakin Skywalker outfit was released in Fortnite on May 2, only a couple of days before Star Wars Day, which is May the 4th, of course!

8. Fortnite x Transformers

The Fortnite x Transformers collaboration came during the release of the Transformer: Rise of the Beasts movie and became one of the most popular collaborations in the game in 2023. The long-awaited collaboration with the Transformers series brought three new outfits, including Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, to the Item Store.

Other than that, the Fortnite Transformers pack also enabled players to gain access to three new Pickaxes, two new emotes, and three new Back Blings. All in all, it was a splendid collaboration in Fortnite, especially for fans of the Transformers franchise.

7. Fortnite x Attack on Titan

Epic Games collaborated with the popular anime series Attack on Titan to bring some pretty cool items and outfits to Fortnite. Released as part of the fourth chapter in Season 2, players saw three new outfits, depicting the popular characters Captain Levi, Mikasa Ackermann, and Eren Jaeger from the anime series, get added in Fortnite.

Not only that but Epic went the extra mile and added Omni-Directional Mobility (ODM) Gear as a Mythic weapon in Fortnite. Players could use the ODM Gear to fly across the Fortnite map and strike their enemies.

6. Fortnite x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The Fortnite x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration brought the four turtle brothers into Epic's popular battle royale game. The collaboration went live during Fortnite's Chapter 5 Season 1 this year and added the outfits of the four ninja-warrior turtles to the Fortnite Item Shop.

Players were able to get the outfits of Leonardo, Michaelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael along with matching Pickaxes and Back Blings. Not only that but the TMNT outfits also came with a LEGO-style look, which made them even more special.

5. Fortnite x Eminem

When Epic Games collaborated with the "Rap God" himself, players went crazy over it, especially Stans (if you know what I mean!). During the collaborative event, Epic added three unique Eminem outfits to the Fortnite Item Store, including the game's first unofficial Robin outfit.

Furthermore, a virtual Eminem concert was organized for players to enjoy in Fortnite, and it was grand. The uber-popular rapper performed some of his biggest hits during the virtual concert, including his single Godzilla. It was quite literally a fire-spitting performance that made this Fortnite collaboration one of the top ones of 2023, and also the game's history.

4. Fortnite x Futurama

If you are a fan of the popular, animated sitcom Futurama and missed out on the Fortnite x Futurama collaboration this year, I am deeply sorry! The collaboration came as a complete surprise for players when Epic Games brought the TV series characters - Bender, Fry, and Leela, to life in Fortnite.

Apart from the outfits, Epic also added Bender's Shiny Metal Raygun as an in-game weapon in Fortnite. Overall speaking, the Futurama collaboration was one of the finest Fortnite collaborations of 2023.

3. Fortnite x Jujutsu Kaisen

Deemed was one of the biggest collaborations in Fortnite, the Fortnite x Jujutsu Kaisen collaboration brought a lot to the plate for players to enjoy. Fans of the ultra-popular anime series could get the outfits of their favourite characters, including Satoru Gojo, Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, and Nobara Kugisaki, from the Fortnite Item Store. 

Apart from the outfits, the developers also added other virtual items, Mythic weapons, and cursed Llamas to Fortnite. As part of the collaboration, Epic also added a dedicated Battle Pass for players to complete quests for free rewards, including Shadow Play: Toad Emote.

Following the additions of Spider-Gwen and other Spider-Man outfits in Fortnite in previous years, this year, Epic collaborated with the Spider-Man franchise once again to bring a new Spider-Man Miles Morales outfit to the Item Store. Not only that but the developers also added a Spider-Man 2099 outfit along with matching accessories during the event.

After announcing a long-term partnership in April 2022, The LEGO Group and Epic Games finally delivered on their promise to combine LEGO and Fortnite in December 2023. The two industry giants worked together to combine their respective platforms to create the "ultimate survival crafting LEGO adventure" in Fortnite. 

The new LEGO Fortnite, rated E10+, is essentially a new game mode within Fortnite that enables players of all ages to explore their LEGO-building creativity in the vast, open world of Fortnite. Furthermore, the companies worked together to give a LEGO twist to iconic Fortnite Outfits and also added a chance for players to unlock a special Explorer Emilie Outfit by linking their LEGO accounts with their Epic Games accounts.
